What’s an experience at Paint ‘n’ Sip Studio like?

A whole lot of FUN! Your experience will start by arriving at the studio 10-15 minutes early, first check in at the bar and get a drink, then grab an apron, find your seat, socialise a bit and settle in before we start painting. We provide everything needed to complete the painting & you do not need any painting experience or any artistic abilities to join us!

One of our artists will take you step by step through the featured painting of the session while you complete your very own work of art amidst a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, remember you are here to have a GOOD time or should we say ‘Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler’- “Let the good times roll” (now that’s the Cajun coming out)!

After two hours of painting & sipping, singing & laughing, you will have a completed masterpiece to take home with you! We also take photos throughout the night which we post to our Facebook page & best of all we clean up!

How much is a session & what does it include?

On average each session is $50 (incl GST) and includes nibbles, step by step painting instructions from one of our artists, all materials to complete the painting, party pics posted on our Facebook page from the session, a LOT of fun and best of all, a painting (your very own work of art) you CREATED to take home, plus we clean up!

Drinks are excluded in the seat price and can be purchased from our in-studio bar, NO BYO allowed.

  • Crackers (gluten free can be provided if needed)

How do I register for a session?

Visit our CALENDAR page. Click on the painting you want to paint and follow the payment directions. You can use a debit/credit card through our website, call the studio to register or drop into the studio to book a seat. Please call before you come by just to make sure we are there!

Do I have to paint the featured painting of the night?

No way, you can paint whatever you like, but our artist will be taking the group step by step through the featured painting of the night. You can change the colours, shapes, etc. of the painting to match your home decor or just follow along with the artist, whichever you prefer! If you want to paint another one of our paintings just let us know before the session so we can set out the paint for you!

Do I have to register for a session or can I walk-in?

We strongly encourage you to register for the session you want to attend, as we have limited seating.

Walk-ins will only be admitted if you arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time and if there are seats available.

Do I need to bring anything?

All you need to bring is yourself and a positive attitude! 

What should I wear?

Aprons are provided but paint does end up in funny places, especially when you are having such a GREAT time. Our advice would be to wear clothing you don't mind getting paint on.

How do I get my painting home?

We have drying stations to make sure your painting is ready to travel. If you have arrived by bus or bicycle (which we encourage) we are happy for you to pick up your painting the next day. Otherwise, be sure to travel with your painting face up. By the time you get it home, it should be dry and ready to make its debut on your wall!

Do you offer private parties?

Yes! A paint and sip party is perfect for any occasion. Visit our PRIVATE EVENT page for more information!

Is your studio BYO?

No, we do not allow customers to bring their own alcohol or non alcoholic drinks, as we are a fully licensed premise and have water available for free.

We have a selection of beer, wine, sparkling/bubbles, RTD's and cider available for purchase, along with low alcohol and non-alcoholic options. 

Can I use Paint 'n' Sip Studio's paintings?

No, our paintings are copyrighted and owned by us. Our demonstration and display paintings are for your use solely on our premises and must not be reproduced outside of the studio.

What is your cancellation policy?
  • Drinks are excluded in the seat price & can be purchased from our in-studio bar (NO BYO allowed)
  • Food may be excluded depending on the event - refer to each event for details 
  • We card anyone who looks 25 or younger, please bring ID (no age restrictions to attend a session)
  • If you cannot make the booked session, 24-hour notice is required to have a credit issued to attend another session, credit is valid for one month from the session date
  • No shows will not be rescheduled if we do not have notice prior to the session
  • We do not issue refunds under any circumstance, only a credit to join us again in studio as per above
  • Rebooking requests MUST be done by emailing: info@paintnsip.co.nz
